Who compiled this
Wahab Files is an independent opposition research briefing on Rep. Aisha Wahab’s public record ahead of the November 3, 2026 election in California’s 14th Congressional District. It is compiled from legislative analyses, hearing transcripts, certified election results, FEC/FPPC filings, and contemporaneous news reporting. It is not the official website of any candidate’s principal campaign committee unless the paid-for line is updated to say so.
The story is real. The record is the problem. Biography is conceded in a sentence. The files are votes, gavels, quotes, and complaints.
Methodology
- Primary documents first: bill text and analyses, committee roll calls and abstentions, certified results, FEC/FPPC identifiers.
- Quotes in context. Attribution sits under the type. Independent expenditure ads are labeled as ads.
- Allegations labeled as allegations. The FEC matter is a complaint, not a finding. We do not write “laundered,” “convicted,” or “broke the law” as fact.
- SB 1414 is described as it happened: the chair forced amendments that treated solicitation of 16- and 17-year-olds differently than younger minors. We do not claim she “supports child sex trafficking.”
- Corrections published. Email files@wahabfiles.com.
