Official 2024 Senate portrait of Aisha Wahab

CA-14 · NOVEMBER 3, 2026 · DO NOT LOOK AWAY

UNFIT — Rep. Zoe Lofgren, on camera

What’s in it for me?

That is the sentence a senior Democrat put on camera. She still wants two more years.

Aisha Wahab sells a biography. The Senate record is the part they keep off the mailer — the gavel, the blank roll call, the stream, the complaint.

My public service has always been rooted in one question: How does this help everyday people?

THEN THIS.

The story is real. Foster care. Foreclosure. Firsts. Fine. Then read what she did with the gavel.

Three counts.

  1. 01

As Senate Public Safety Chair, she helped strip a clean felony for adults who solicit 16- and 17-year-olds. Grove said those kids “did not matter.”

  2. 02

Grieving parents packed the dais for a written homicide warning to convicted fentanyl dealers. She did not vote. The bill died. Nobody’s name sat next to NO.

  3. 03

When Democrats asked her to let CA-14 have a Member, Rep. Zoe Lofgren says Wahab answered: “What’s in it for me?” Lofgren said that caused her to question Wahab’s fitness for the House.
